It was a great day in North Augusta, when our founders Iringa Charlie and Dangerous Dave came up with the idea of a mounting system for handheld electronic equipment.  Their engineering background and years of piloting experience provided an insightful need for something that would hold a GPS while they concentrated on flying.

After several years of development work, the current LobsterMount designs were ready.  Patents were obtained and vendors for part fabrication were found.  The LobsterMount series was born.  In the summer of 2004 actual assembly began.  The original plan of designing a product with easy assembly was put into place.  Contracting with an organization of wondrous, yet physically challenged individuals proved to be the perfect solution.

With a small core of Christian men, each possessing a “make it happen” attitude, and support from family and friends, Palmetto West Trading Company races toward adventure with confidence.
