Who We Are - OceanMedix.com LLC
The idea of OceanMedix.com was kicked around for a couple of years by two friends. One a physician, pilot and founder of the extremely successful aviation website, Aeromedix.com; and, the other a licensed yacht captain, former EMT and passionate ocean adventurer. In the spring of 2006 OceanMedix.com LLC, was founded to provide Prescription Medical Kits, Sterile Packs, Prescription Medical Products, First Aid, Safety, Emergency and Communication Equipment for the Coastal Cruiser and Ocean Voyager.

Brent Blue, M.D., a physician board-certified in both family-practice and emergency medicine, is an FAA-designated Senior Aviation Medical Examiner, former team physician for the U.S. aerobatic team, and widely-published author of articles on aviation medicine. Brent is the Managing Member and Founder of Aeromedix.com LLC, our sister aviation website, Managing Member of Oxygen to Go, LLC and Controlled Oxygen Delivery Systems, LLC, and the President and Medical Director of DocTalk, Inc.

Denny Emory, a licensed yacht captain, holding a U.S. Coast Guard 100 Ton Master's License, after twenty years as a practicing architect, in 1993 turned to his lifetime love of the sea. Following a circumnavigation he formed Emory / Yachting Services in 1996 free-lancing on a project by project basis doing yacht deliveries, commissioning and new boat shake-downs, owner orientations and training, participating in ocean yachting adventures with owners and the developing and writing of the Owner's Manuals for Morris Yachts in Southwest Harbor, Maine. Denny, a former certified Wilderness-EMT, has voyaged more that 96,000 nautical miles on both sail and power vessels, visiting 41 countries on five continents.
One of the primary objectives of OceanMedix.com has been to develop a line of Prescription Medical Kits, Sterile Packs and Prescription Medical Products specifically designed to compliment the First Aid or Medical Kit carried onboard a vessel engaged in extended Coastal Cruising, Ocean Passagemaking or Ocean Voyaging. From that base our goal is to continually expand our offerings with a selection of premium products to meet the needs of the serious recreational boater.
